I came upon this author when I was searching for books set during the Georgian period. I noticed she had a few set in the Regency period(my favorite type of books) so I downloaded it for my kindle.This book is set in England in 1816. Miss Audacia Aderly lives with her widowed father, who is too preoccupied with his work, so it is no suprise she wonders around the country in her brother's clothes. Dressed as a lad, she comes across Squire Geoffrey Webster and his friend Lord Roland Mandel, Earl Greydon while hunting. She interrupts the hunt and Roland rough handles her thinking she is a man. In order to avoid a scandal, her father sends her to visist her godmother, Lady Darby in London. Geoffrey Webster arrives in London after a long absence in order to keep a eye on Audacia and to see she doesn't come to harm from Lady Darby's son.
I liked how the author gave the reader a view into the various characters thoughts. Well rounded characters, secondary romances as well. Clean Regency romance. I plan on reading more books from this author.
There were a few typos but nothing so bad one couldn't make it out.
