Around this time of year it's lovely to curl up at home and read about the places we might visit on our next vacation. 101 Money Saving Travel Tips Travel Free eGuidebooks Book 2 eBook Daniel Davidson Reviews
This book has tons of tips and very useful links to money saving websites. The only thing I would like even better is a list of all the websites by category on the last page so that I wouldn't have to search the book.
Out of the 101 tips, you may find you knew about 90% of them if your a frequent traveler like I am. There are a couple ideas that are interesting that I either didn't think of or didn't add 2 + 2. Nothing in this book blows me away, but I liked it. Priced right at .99 cents. 4 Stars
I like saving money, whenerver possible, during my trips.
Some of the trips mentioned, I already knew about; some I learned the hard way, others from some of the links printed in the book. All in all, if you like saving money, you won't be disappointed with this book.
Even tough I dont travel very often Daniel Davidson's !01 Money Saving Travel Tips give you secrets to economical travel. I will make great use of it. This book covers air travel, cruises, train travel, car rental and hotels. He also has internet links to show you where and how to get the travel bargains. Davidson shows you ways to save hundreds of dollars when you travel. I cant wait to take a vacation.
This book is short, easy-to-read and loaded with useful and practical suggestions on holding costs down while traveling. Some, thought not all, of the suggestions are things I have learned over the years by trial and error. The book served to confirm the value of those techniques. In addition, there were many new techniques that I will be using from now on in my travels. One can easily read this in one sitting. As an ebook it makes great use of hyperlinks for any further research you may want to do. Of course, it can be downloaded your tablet for easy carrying when you travel. It is well worth its modest cost.
I'm currently sitting on a beach in Australia and wish I had read this book before I planned my trip. There was some basic traveling info that would have been a helpful reminder for me because it has been 7 years since my last big international vacation.
The one thing I have learned from that I would like to share with fellow explorers is to invest in day bag with a refillable bladder, like a Camelbak. I have a Jansport bag I have had for almost ten years and I take it everywhere. I bought my girlfriend a Camelbak for this trip and she loves it. We fill it with water and snacks in the morning and are set to explore new adventures for the whole day while saving money on food and drinks.
So I read about half of this book, I didn't read the parts not relevant to me like car rental. I was hoping for some international travel tips as I am going to Europe in a month, but they were few and far between. It seemed to me like this book was a compilation of travel tips from many different websites, and that many of them were obvious (like to book far in advance) but to be fair, I also learned facts I never would have known, like that flights are cheapest Tuesday mornings and right when they are released. A good read overall, very general for travel anywhere.
